Our website is a trading name / style of Hobson Shoes Limited (hereafter known as 'The Company').

Method of Payment
Strictly payment with order. Payments by CREDIT/DEBIT/CHARGE card. The Company accepts orders orders by phone or online using either our own cart, PayPal or Google Checkout.
Order Processing
Due to the high levels of stock held in our warehouses there may occasionally be small errors in the stock availability displayed. Where this occurs it is unavoidable and The Company cannot be held at fault and they cannot accept any responsibility for possible consequential losses or perceived loss by the customer.
Accuracy of Content
To the extent permitted by law, HOBSON SHOES gives no warranties in relation to the website, in particular with limitation, any warranties regarding the accuracy of descriptions and illustrations of items in the website. We have taken all reasonable precautions to ensure that the information provided within this website is accurate; in particular that prices shown are correct at the time of publishing and that all items have been fairly described. Although we make every effort to display the colour of this product accurately, the colour displayed may vary slightly, depending on your monitor and display settings. All sizes and measurements are approximate; however we do make every effort to ensure they are as accurate as possible. Unless otherwise stated, sizes indicated are UK sizes.We reserve the right to change at any time any of the details of the items on the site, including prices, colours and sizes.
The Company reserve the right to amend VAT if necessary. This is included in all prices shown on this site at the current rate. We do ship VAT Free to the listed countries. Simply choose World Tax Free Zone shipping during the checkout process and your VAT will be automatically removed. If you have any queries regarding our VAT free shipping please feel free to contact us. Orders to other countries using this code will be cancelled.
Export Orders
For all orders outside of the UK The Company is unable to estimate, and cannot be held responsible, for any local shipping, handling or customer surcharges. Please check with your local customs service to ensure that you are aware of any charges or handling issues that may arise during the importation of your goods.
Health & Safety
Due to new Health & Safety guidelines, the Customer Service Team will no longer be able to inspect any item that we feel is returned in a soiled condition. In these cases the item will be returned to sender.
The Company reserves the right to alter prices as and when necessary, subject to increases by suppliers and manufacturers.
Goods becoming faulty after usage should be returned to The Company immediately. The Company will either replace or where suitable repair if applicable. The Company has a reputation for dealing with high-quality branded goods and has the security of the manufacturer behind it for your behalf.
Claims regarding faulty goods will be assessed by The Company and The Company will evaluate the claim, taking into account the age, amount of usage, correct care and maintenance by the customer. All claims will also be subject to a 'Fair Wear and Tear' policy. The Company's decision is final.
Action by The Company regarding claims against faulty goods should The Company deem the goods to be defective in materials and/or workmanship, a refund or replacement will be made. The Company is liable for nothing more than the contract price of the goods which are the subject of the complaint.
The Company takes all usual and reasonable precautions to ensure the excellence of workmanship and materials.
The customer is reminded, however, that on some occasions a third-party may be responsible for the despatch and inspection of your goods.
Please note that whilst we aim to provide you with imagery that represents the colour of the product as closely as possible we cannot always duplicate the colour exactly. However, if you do have a question about the colour of the item, please do not hesitate to contact us.
The Company guarantees all goods supplied against faulty workmanship and defective materials. If the goods are unsuitable or faulty on receipt The Company guarantees to issue a full refund or exchange immediately on return of the goods, providing the rules are adhered to as set out above in our Returns section.
Unfortunately, the Company is unable to offer an unconditional guarantee against any product it sells. Nor is any warranty given or implied to properties or performance, unless directly stated.
Voucher Usage
All voucher usage is subject to a minimum spend of £30. The use of all vouchers and members codes are subject to fair and correct intended useage. Gender, type or brand specific codes are exactly that and can not be applied for general use. The use of any voucher or code may be refused at the point of order processing.
Any item can be returned to us in an unworn, unused condition, in the original box and within 14 days of purchase (we do offer extended return times during the Christmas period). We would also ask you to take care when first trying on your shoes at home to make sure they retain the pristine condition they were delivered to you in.
Returns Form: When you receive your parcel in the post, you will also receive a returns form, which allows you to state why you are returning the item and what you would like us to do upon receiving your return. You can choose any of the following:
  • Full Refund
  • Exchange for alternative size
  • Exchange for alternative product
All exchanges will be posted out to you free of charge (UK only) again and you will be charged/credited should there be any differences in the prices of your shoes. Return postage will also be at your own cost and risk.

Original Packaging: All of our shoes should be returned to us in the original packaging, i.e. the original shoe box with all of the internal wrappings and so on. However, we do not expect customers to return our shoes to us in the packaging bags they were sent in (e.g. Fed Ex bag). All we ask is that you pack the shoes in any reasonable packaging, e.g. a tightly wrapped bin bag. Please do not return the shoes to us without wrapping the box, for security reasons.
Do not deface the shoe box as this is part of the product you were sold and any shoes returned to us within a defaced box, with writing or stickers on it may be subject to a re-boxing fee.
Insuring your return at the Post Office: In order to protect your return when posting it back to us, we do recommend you use the Post Office service and insure your parcel against loss or theft.
What if I think my item is faulty? Whilst all of our items are thoroughly checked before they are sent to you should you find that the shoes aren't in the condition you expected when they arrive all we ask is that you return the item to ourselves for inspection.
All returns are inspected for faults and we will seek to rectify any problems, either by exchanging or mending the fault or refunding you. If the item is found to be faulty you will also have your return postage refunded. However, on some occasions we may refund an item as a matter of goodwill, to which, return post will not be included.
When we receive these shoes, they will be examined under the following conditions:
  • The amount of care and attention the shoes have received will be taken into account.
  • The age of the shoes.
  • The type of damage that has occurred.
All shoes are subject to 'Fair Wear and Tear.'
If the shoes are found to be faulty due to a manufacturing/material defect or damage during transportation, Shoes GB will:
  • Repair, if possible and suitable (and at the customers discretion whether they wish to receive these shoes back).
  • Exchange the product, with an un-faulty pair of shoes, or another style.
  • Refund the product.
  • Return Postage paid by the customer to return the goods to us. This will be up to the maximum price of £5 and on a standard, signed for delivery only (not premium, special or expedited).
Refunds: When the item has been returned and approved, we will refund the credit card you originally used. Please note: this may take up to 10 working days to show in your account.
Shipping & Exchange Policy: We will ship all orders to our customers free of charge (UK customers only, subject to a minimum spend of £30.00). Any return is at the customers own cost and risk, but we will always then exchange any item free of charge again (please adhere to our 14 day exchange policy). For items returned when a delivery charge has been applied, you will receive the cost of the shoe refunded, less any delivery charge.
Trying on Shoes at Home: Before you start wearing your shoes outdoors, we do recommend that you follow the following guidelines when trying them on to be sure that you will be eligible for a full refund should they not fit and so on.
  • Clean Surface: Make sure you stand a clean, soft surface (e.g. carpet) so as not to damage the sole of the shoe. Do not walk on any abrasive, harsh surfaces (e.g. gravel, pavements) as this may damage the sole of the shoe. Equally, avoid dirty surfaces in your shoes, e.g. grass/soil.
  • Care & Attention: Please make sure you treat your shoes with the same care and attention with which they were sent to you. Testing your new shoes out on a shopping trip before returning them is neither fair nor acceptable.
